First treat from a scribe’s street

My first post! Exactly after one year of the creation of my first blog I am scribbling my first post!
In an age when my friends, colleagues and contemporaries have travelled far beyond scrapes, status updates, tweets and pings in cyberspace, the appetite of scribbling in this electronic diary (the definition of blog, as taught to us) started tickling my delicate thoughts. The credit however goes to three individuals, for ideas do not generally like making their presence felt in my mind themselves. So, here I confer my acknowledgement to my best friend for provoking me with his banters, a very close friend for lionizing my ease with the English language (though it is a little difficult to test the truth of the statement) and a fellow colleague from a rival newspaper for inspiring me with her eloquent illustrations of the most mundane events in her blog. Guys, if this works out, I surely owe a lavish treat to the three of you!
Now a concise preamble to the blog. With a fetish for puns, ‘Shay’ly I Scribble was sounding the most befitting title and so I christened my e-diary with the name. My buddies call me Shy( an acronym for Shayali), although I am miles away from this trait. Well, its been nearly 3 years since grads days that I nourished my creative hunger. Reason: I was chosen a blessed one for doing my Masters in Journalism from a university where speaking too much of English is considered blasphemous and a sign of disrespect to our National language and scribbling well in the language incomprehensible; partially because while one half of the professors did not pick up English well, the other half could not pick up my calligraphy in black ink. So, it will take me some time to come out of my forced Writer’s Block. Do not by any chance underestimate my erudition as a Bong and kindly grin and bear with my nonsense.
A piece of alarm to all readers: this is my blog and so anything scribbled is highly UNREGRETABLE. Views and opinions expressed are personal and any resemblance to anything dead or alive is NOT a pure coincidence. After all don’t you think any piece of literature, when interspersed with real anecdotes becomes even more interesting and readable??
So, wish all you nerds and couch-potatoes a happy reading J

P.S.: Kindly pardon me for the one-liners. I am yet to perfect the art!
